Handmade, wheel-thrown bowl with a raw clay exterior and icy blue interior on stoneware. Gray and blue circle patterns within the form. The exterior design and texture were created when granular magnetite crystals are brushed onto the wet clay after the form is thrown - making it truly one-of-a-kind.
Magnetite is a rock mineral and one of the main iron ores, with the chemical formula Fe3O4. It is one of the oxides of iron and is ferrimagnetic (it is attracted to a magnet and can be magnetized to become a permanent magnet itself). It is the most magnetic of all the naturally occurring minerals on Earth and has many positive energetic properties as a crystal.
The perfect large bowl for a side dish or snacks. Eggs for scale.
Ceramic dimensions approximately 3.75" H x 7.5" W.
