Handmade, wheel-thrown icy blue and matte white altered bowl in stoneware with gold luster (11% 22k gold). The design is created when the glazes melt into an irregular pattern in the gas kiln - making it truly one-of-a-kind. Exterior iron texture created with granular magnetite crystals.
Magnetite is a rock mineral and one of the main iron ores, with the chemical formula Fe3O4. It is one of the oxides of iron and is ferrimagnetic (it is attracted to a magnet and can be magnetized to become a permanent magnet itself). It is the most magnetic of all the naturally occurring minerals on Earth and has many positive energetic properties as a crystal.
Named after the Geminids, one of the best and most reliable annual meteor showers in mid-December each year.
The perfect vessel for snacks or decor. Opal apples for scale.
Pottery with gold luster will require extra care. Matte glazes should not have prolonged contact with typically staining food. Visit FAQ for care instructions.
Ceramic dimensions approximately 2.5" H x 6.25" W.
