Handmade, wheel-thrown Wirt's Carbon Trap Shino bowl with an Icy blue interior on porcelain. The exterior design is created when granular magnetite crystals are brushed onto the wet clay after the form is thrown - making it truly one-of-a-kind. Three hand-carved horizontal lines on the exterior.
Magnetite is a rock mineral and one of the main iron ores, with the chemical formula Fe3O4. It is one of the oxides of iron and is ferrimagnetic (it is attracted to a magnet and can be magnetized to become a permanent magnet itself). It is the most magnetic of all the naturally-occurring minerals on Earth and has many positive energetic properties as a crystal.
The perfect bowl for chips or nuts.
Ceramic dimensions approximately 3" H x 4.25" W.
